I'm New

We're Glad You're Here

Bryant Street Baptist Church is a place where everyone is welcome.  We are not perfect, in fact we are far from it.  Everyone here is broken, has struggles with sin, and feels inadequate from time to time.  We know we don't have it all together and that is why we are so thankful for the Grace of God.  Through Jesus we are being made new, experiencing victory over sin, and being put back together.  If you know you need help and can't quite get it right, come to Bryant Street and let us introduce you to Jesus.

What To Expect

How Long is the service?

A typical service will last about 75 minutes.

What happens during the service?

Singing: Singing is an important aspect of the Christian life.  The Bible commands us over and over to sing, and for good reason.  When we sing, we glorify and worship God, we are helped to memorize what we believe, we encourage one another, and we build unity in the church.  At Bryant Street, although we strive to make beautiful music unto the Lord, our singing time is not a concert, it is an activity that the whole church participates in.

Prayer: Each week we set aside a portion of the service to engage with God in prayer.  We pray to God, and for each other.  Prayer is our way of communicating our thankfulness to and reliance on God.

Teaching: A large portion of the service is dedicated to studying the Scriptures, verse by verse.  We believe it is impossible to worship a God that we do not know.  The Bible is God's revelation of Himself to us, and understanding it is essential if we want to have a right understanding of who God is.

Giving: God is the giver of life and all good things come from Him.  As a way of showing our reliance on God, and helping to build His kingdom, we provide people an opportunity to give of their time, talents, and money.  If you are a guest with us there is no need to give; giving is for those who consider Bryant Street their home church.

Fellowship: Being in community with others is an important aspect of living the Christian life.  We try to create time and space for people to connect with one another, pray for one another, and share life together.

What is available for children?

Currently we do not have a children's program, but we are working hard to get one going ASAP.  Children are welcome in the service and we supply busy bags filled with toys, Bible coloring pages, and sermon note guides for kids.  If you have a particularly energetic young one, feel free to sit in our balcony where they may have a bit more room to move around.
